Cranberry issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
A sign of progress is being shown toward making a Township intersection safer.
After receiving a $250,000 Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant for signal installation and other upgrades at Route 19 and Progress Avenue, the Board of Supervisors approved an engineering proposal with Herbert, Rowland & Grubic for the project.
Because the grant is for more than one form of transportation the signal will have pedestrian-friendly features, including a signal for pedestrians and a crosswalk.
