Fire and emergency response organizations in Pennsylvania's 11th Legislative District have received a total of $211,578 in state grants. The announcement was made by Representative Marci Mustello (R-Butler). The grant program, managed by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner, supports projects such as construction or renovation of facilities, equipment purchase or repair, training, and debt reduction.

"Our first response organizations are woven into the very fabric of our local communities," stated Mustello. "I am very pleased that these grant funds go directly to those organizations whose mission is providing protection for our citizens and properties. We have a lot of wonderful people in fire, rescue and EMS services and it is always good to support their efforts."

The recipients include Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company with $14,385; Butler Ambulance Service Company with $15,000; Butler City Fire Department receiving $15,246; Butler Township Volunteer Fire District awarded $39,676; Chicora Community Hose and Relief Association for fire services getting $14,468 and for EMS services receiving $11,522; East Butler Volunteer Fire Department awarded $12,664 for fire services and $15,000 for EMS services; Herman Volunteer Fire Company with $15,461; Oakland Township Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Company with $13,094; Sarver Volunteer Fire Company receiving $15,031; Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company awarded $15,031 for fire services and another $15,000 for EMS services.
