In Butler County 199 inmates were incarcerated in March, a 0.5 percent decrease from the month before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Damien Michael Large and Mathew James Lehnerd, 21-year-olds, were the youngest inmates in Butler County in March.

Donald Leroy Brown was the oldest at 79-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.
