Rep. Marci Mustello of Butler has announced the allocation of nearly $2.17 million in state funding for community improvement projects within Pennsylvania's 11th Legislative District. The funding, provided by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), supports economic development, job training, and public interest projects through gaming funds under Act 71 of 2004.

"Investing in our communities is an investment in our future," stated Mustello. "These grants will help improve infrastructure, support local projects and create opportunities for economic growth across the 11th District. It’s essential we continue to support the needs of our communities, and these funds will ensure our municipalities have the tools they need to thrive."

The grants include various allocations for local projects: Chicora Borough receives $230,868 for a backhoe loader; Clearfield Township is awarded $493,402 to repave Herman Road and $198,198 for municipal building renovations; Donegal Township gets $44,145 for an upfit package and $158,560 for a diesel truck; Jefferson Township secures $250,000 for community pool improvements; Oakland Township is granted $500,000 for a municipal complex construction; Saxonburg Borough receives $85,111 to upgrade a park restroom; Summit Township obtains $105,300 for a track loader purchase; Winfield Township gains $99,615 to install a rubber playground surface.

The CFA operates as an independent agency overseeing program funding and investments aimed at Pennsylvania's economic growth.
