Scialabba partners with state treasurer to recover unclaimed property for residents

Rep. Stephenie Scialabba (R-Butler) has announced a partnership with the Office of State Treasurer Stacy Garrity to assist residents in recovering unclaimed property at no cost.

Unclaimed property typically includes money from old insurance policies, inactive bank accounts, and uncashed checks.

"One in 10 Pennsylvanians has unclaimed property," said Scialabba. "Butler County has over $24.5 million in unclaimed property, and this event will help return it to the rightful owners."

A representative from the PA Treasury will be present on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at her district office in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, located at 2525 Rochester Road, Suite 201, Cranberry Township, 16066.

Residents are encouraged to call Scialabba’s district office at 724-772-3110 to set up an appointment.
