Butler Area Senior High School issued the following announcement.
Elementary Pollinator Gardens
For the 2020-2021 school year, Butler Area School District received a PA Department of Environmental Protection Environmental Education grant to install pollinator gardens at the six K-4 elementary school buildings.
In addition to the physical gardens, students and staff will learn ways to incorporate the gardens into current lessons and curriculum, as well as becoming the focal point for outdoor learning classrooms. The school district has partnered with several local organizations on this project, including the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, Butler County Conservation District, Connoquenessing Watershed Alliance, and several more.
