Cost of college went up for all students at Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology

Tuition and fees rose 5.7 percent for 2018-19 at Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $16,285 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $885 more than the $15,400 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 44 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 6 students received grants or scholarships totaling $27,752 and 11 students took out student loans totaling more than $63,168.

Including all undergraduates (26), 13 students used grants or scholarships totaling $50,007, and 16 students took out $80,422 in federal student loans.
