73 percent of applicants to Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania were admitted for fall 2018

At Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Slippery Rock enrolled 8,803 students in fall 2018, including 7,517 in undergraduate and 1,286 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

89 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 10 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (85 percent) and Black or African American (5 percent).

The school admitted 73 percent of the 5,370 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 40 percent enrolled.
