On Friday, March 21, former Freeport Area Senior High School standout Sydney Selker’s current college team, the Akron Zips, lost 9-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The game took place at Margo Jonker Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Chippewas this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 5 p.m. at Buckeye Field against Ohio State Buckeyes.
