Rep. Marci Mustello has announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) will allocate nearly $2.17 million in state funding for community improvement projects within Pennsylvania’s 11th Legislative District. These Local Share Account grants are aimed at supporting economic development, job training, and public interest projects through gaming funds under Act 71 of 2004.

“Investing in our communities is an investment in our future,” stated Mustello. “These grants will help improve infrastructure, support local projects and create opportunities for economic growth across the 11th District. It’s essential we continue to support the needs of our communities, and these funds will ensure our municipalities have the tools they need to thrive.”

The grants cover a range of local projects including:

– Chicora Borough receives $230,868 for a backhoe loader with attachments for maintenance operations.
– Clearfield Township is awarded $493,402 to repave Herman Road and $198,198 for municipal building renovations.
– Donegal Township gets $44,145 for a plow and spreader package and $158,560 for a diesel truck.
– Jefferson Township is allocated $250,000 for community pool renovations.
– Oakland Township secures $500,000 for constructing a municipal complex.
– Saxonburg Borough obtains $85,111 to upgrade a public park restroom.
– Summit Township is granted $105,300 for a track loader purchase.
– Winfield Township receives $99,615 to install a new playground surface.

The CFA operates as an independent agency responsible for managing funding programs aimed at fostering economic growth in Pennsylvania.
