About 24.3 percent of the 2,296 degrees and certificates handed out by Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency’s National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Rock conferred 418 bachelor’s degrees and 87 master’s degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health technology/technician. Data shows the school gave out 155 bachelor’s degrees in occupational safety and health technology/technician, followed by 122 bachelor’s degrees in general health and wellness and 109 bachelor’s degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The university enrolled 8,803 students for 2017-18, including 7,517 in undergraduate programs and 1,286 in graduate programs.
