On Friday, April 25, former Freeport Area Senior High School standout Sydney Selker’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 5-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.
The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their first matchup against the Huskies this season.
The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m. at Mary M. Bell Field against Northern Illinois Huskies.
